Sure, we still offer great prices, security and convenient locations. But, these amenities don’t help The Storage Neighbor brand stand out in a sea of competition. So, how does our brand stand out in an industry dominated by concession wars? By providing the unexpected.

Last fall, we took a step back to better understand what our customers liked about The Storage Neighbor. We certainly heard that price was a main contributor that led to a rental at one of our properties. However, we also heard a lot about the amazing customer service our managers are providing customers and prospects on a daily basis. Our managers have set the bar high, and our customers and prospects are “Expecting More From Storage.”

So, what does it mean to “Expect More From Storage”? Quite simply, it means going above and beyond for our customers and prospects. For example, the property manager at our Alpharetta store in Georgia spent a Sunday afternoon washing pollen off vehicles stored in his lot. Did I mention we are closed on Sundays? At our Cumming store in Georgia, the property manager spent most of a Saturday building out a custom storage space that was booked online via a storage portal. Why was this so unique? Because the storage portal mistakenly offered a space that we didn’t even offer! But our Cumming manager went the extra mile to accommodate this customer. At our Research Park store in Alabama, our property manager grew vegetables in her garden and gave them to her customers. And last year, when the tornadoes ripped through Alabama, several of our storage facilities in Alabama offered free rent to tornado victims. These are just a few examples of how The Storage Neighbor is going above and beyond.

Of course, we will always offer competitive specials, etc. But, what keeps our customers coming back and referring us to their friends? The fact that we provide the unexpected.

Veterans Day is a holiday that allows us to celebrate, honor, and remember those who have served our country. Today President Obama visited the Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. He also took the time to say that the United States troops currently deployed in Iraq will be coming home at the end of the year. This year has been what many would say a victorious year.

Today, we are honoring those who serve, but it’s not just today that these men and women serve, it’s every day.
