WhistleStop Festival: Southern BBQ at Its Finest

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Who doesn’t love some good old Southern barbeque?  If you are at all like the team from The Storage Neighbor, there is nothing quite like the smell of barbeque to make your stomach growl and your face smile.  If you are ready to get your hands on some of the best barbeque to hit Huntsville, you need to visit the WhistleStop Festival.

The 2010 WhistleStop Festival will be held on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1.  Friday hours at the WhistleStop Festival are from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  Saturday hours are from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.  The Storage Neighbor team is a WhistleStop Festival Donor Sponsor.  We look forward to seeing you at the WhistleStop Festival, where we will be handing out free gifts to the first 1,500 attendees each day.  Get to the WhistleStop Festival early to get your free gift from The Storage Neighbor!

With somewhere between 30,000 and 35,000 people expected to attend the two day WhistleStop Festival, the barbeque will be flying off the grill like nobody’s business.  The WhistleStop Festival barbeque competition is one of the best in the country.  The WhistleStop Festival professional division is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.  The winner of this contest will receive a $3,000 grand prize and some serious bragging rights!

At The Storage Neighbor, we are also looking forward to the WhistleStop Festival’s ShadeTree division.  This competition is for the backyard barbeque warrior.  With a limited number of spaces available, we know that some of our friends and neighbors are likely to be competing.  We wonder who might top the list of Huntsville’s greatest backyard barbequer!

Quite possibly the best competition of the weekend is the WhistleStop Festival Kids Q Competition.  Designed for teams of 3 kids, between the ages of 8 and 12, the Kids Q competition could be the most exciting of all. We can’t wait to see which future chefs will bring home the barbeque gold!

We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 WhistleStop Festival!
